The item is a composite print of a documentary made between 1972 and 1975. It is a look at the construction of a unique power project -- a canal to harness the flood waters of the Kootenay River. The film highlights the environmental aspects of this engineering achievement, which harnesses needed energy from the river while protecting the environment of beaver, fish and deer.
