News item. Examples of BC Parks signs are shown on site at Goldstream, Bamberton, Koksilah and a B.C. Forest Service nursery. Footage shows worker carving letters for a wooden sign at the BC Parks sign and maintenance shop in Colwood. Shop manager Ray Ramsey explains that there are five different sections to the shop -- carpentry, painting and screening, sign carving, metal work, and plastic work. There are 18 employees. Interview with a wood carver who has done this job for 18 years.

Promotional film. General views of grounds, building exteriors, gardens. Commissioned by the trust company responsible for selling the Hatley Park property, this film apparently played a part in the sale of the property to the federal government in 1940 for use as a military college.
