The item consists of nine reels of colour out-takes from Cheakamus hydro-electric development, parts 1 and 2. Out-takes show various aspects of the construction of the hydro-electric development on the Cheakamus River.

The item is an industrial film on a black and white workprint. It continues the story of the hydro-electric development on the Cheakamus River and shows the construction of the penstocks and powerhouse, 23 miles from Squamish. There are shots of tunnel construction and installation of powerhouse equipment. The generators went on-line late in 1957.

This series contains inventories of mature and immature timber within the confines of the Cheakamus Reservoir area, Bridge River-Powell River, Bridge River-Rosedale and Cheekyo-Hornem Payne Transmission Line rights-of-way prepared by T and H Engineering and Forestry Ltd., and Forestal Forestry and Engineering International Ltd., for British Columbia Electric Company, submitted to the District Forester, Vancouver.
