Interview with Mr. Haegert on May 15, 1998, by Neil Robinson, Verteran's Affairs, Canada. Mr. Haegert was born in 1902, He discusses his boyhood in Victoria, training as a wireless telegrapher, work for the Consolidated Whaling Co., 1918-20, and experiences as a ship's wireless telegrapher between the wars and during World War 11.
