SUMMARY: A portrait of the Okanagan Valley in the 1890s as populated largely by British immigrants; the role of Lord and Lady Aberdeen and their Coldstream Ranch; social life around Vernon and Kelowna, including dances, riding and other sports. The voices heard are: Dorothea Walker; Primrose Upton; Charlie Shaw; Bob Gamman; Len Hayman; and H.V. "Paddy" Acland.
