Scope and content

The series consists of photographs created or received by Alexander Buckham with dates ranging between 1875 and 1960 pertaining primarily to Vancouver Island and the southern interior of BC. The photographs consist of prints, negatives, postcards and slides, whose contents correspond to the three series of the fonds: Canadian Collieries (Dunsmuir) Limited papers; Alexander Fraser Buckham official papers; and Alexander Fraser Buckham personal papers. The photographs were not arranged according to these series. The series also includes a few original lists of the photographs and negatives.
