Embroidery is in wool on cloth. "Reproduction of a totem pole, now in the Provincial Museum, Victoria, B.C., which stood outside a chief's house at Bella Coola, B.C. Carved by a member of the Kwak'itl Tribe to which he belonged.
The topmost figure shows the Raven crest of the owner of the Pole with mythical beings in the two lower tiers, belonging to his ancestral tradititions. At the base of the Pole is shown the low arched entrance to the house in front of which the Pole stood."
