Established Feb. 27, 1912 under the Dept. of Lands. Name changed March 28, 1945 from the Forest Branch of the Dept. of Lands to the Forest Service of the Dept. of Lands and Forests.

This series contains reports presented to the Forestry Committee of the Legislative Assembly by the Chief Forester. The 1936 Report was further amplified by a presentation by the Forester in charge of the Forest Surveys Division, and the 1940 Report was presented by the Assistant Chief Forester due to the absence of the Chief Forester on war-related business.

Immediate source of acquisition
Transferred from the Forest Service Library to Project 87 and then to PABC in 1982. The photocopy of the 1937 report was provided by Helen M. Akrigg from family papers to complete the set in April 1982.
