Labatt Breweries of British Columbia was a brewing company. Labatt Breweries bought out several other British Columbia brewing companies including the Victoria Phoenix Brewing Company (previously of Coast Breweries), Silver Spring Brewery Ltd. and Lucky Lager Brewing Company.

The records in this accession are of the Labatt Brewery (Victoria) and its predecessor, Victoria-Phoenix Brewing Company. Also included are records relating to Coast Breweries and some Silver Spring Brewery records consisting of a 1928 appraisement book (detailed appraisal of plant and equipment) and accounts, 1941-1943. The Labatt records, 1960s-1970s, consist of administration files (which include general subject files, sales promotion, quality control, bottleshop production, building and renovations), brewhouse records, architectural and engineering drawings. Victoria-Phoenix records consist of general subject files, contracts, agreements with hotels, financial journals and ledgers as well as records regarding the sale of Victoria Brewing and Ice Company, 1892.
