The fonds consists of correspondence and accounts information, promotional materials, photographs, and ephemera relating to Allan Klenman's career as a salesman in radio. The fonds also includes sound recordings of short radio announcements, advertisements, and opening and closings of radio programs.

Television commercials. Expo '86 promotional spots on the "invite the world" theme. First two include aerial views of B.C. natural scenery, of Vancouver, fireworks, graphics. Third promotional spot includes aerials of B.C. scenery and Vancouver, plus welcoming speech by Premier W. R. Bennett.

British Columbia Electric Railway Company Victoria branch records

The series consists of records created by the Victoria Branch of the BCER Company between 1867 and 1967. The records, including those of predecessor companies, are grouped in seven categories: Administration, Light and Power, Transportation, Advertising and Publicity, Shortt Commission (1917), Miscellaneous and Maps

Administration includes financial records (accounts, appropriations, reports of corporate officials, salary ledgers - which reflect company organization - etc.).

Light and Power includes reports and statistics re power production and consumption, substation journals, engineering reports on the progress of the Jordan River development, Jordan River powerhouse journals (1912-1966), Goldstream powerhouse journals, records of predecessor companies as well as Public Utility Commission reports and appraisals of BCER property (1939).

Transportation includes internal reports, correspondence and financial records of predecessor company (National Electric Tramway and Lighting Company, Victoria Electric Railway and Lighting Company, Consolidated Railway Company).

Advertising and Publicity includes advertising files of copy and newspaper ad schedules, clipping books of newspaper ads and news items.

Shortt Commission records consist of 3 volumes containing proceedings, evidence exhibits and the report.

Miscellaneous includes some statistical data on rivers in BC some score books of the Jordan River Athletic Club as well as minutes and club files of the BC Electric Tennis Club.

Maps includes 9 maps of various systems and dams.

Out-takes. Three short promotional spots for Buckerfield's Uplands Special Fertilizer. These outs depict homeowners enjoying their lawns, flowers and vegetable gardens; some home and store interiors.

Commercials

The series consists entirely of moving image documents (originals and reproductions) of television commercials directed by Phillip Borsos in the 1980s and early 1990s.

In order to supplement his income as a filmmaker, Borsos (through his company Mercury Pictures Inc. and a production service, The Partners' Film Company) directed television commercials for various products, services and British Columbia provincial government programs.

[Crown Life commercials]

Television commercials. Four advertising spots: "Transportation", "Communication", "Tree House" (English), and "Tree House" (French). The ads show a small group of children playing while a voice-over discusses their future in terms of transportation and communication, Crown Life's role, and the role of Expo 86.

Promotional. Demonstration of "invitation to Expo" commercials in the form of coloured drawings of Expo pavilions, transportation/communication activities, and participating nationalities, with voice-over simulating the voices of Neil Armstrong, Luciani Pavarotti, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and Premier Bill Bennett.
