Scope and content

The item is a print of a promotional film from ca. 1965. Newton Phillips Steacy, Commissioner at BC House in San Francisco, California, is shown around and about the city promoting British Columbia.

Steacy proposed a promotional film about the work of the Commissioner and British Columbia House in San Francisco. He was to write the script, and some black & white footage was shot. The film was never completed. This reel (a copy?) has been supplemented with miscellaneous colour footage from various BC productions, to provide opening and closing titles.
