Biographical history
In 1918 the British Columbia government established a County Court registry at Smithers (the Smithers Registry of the County Court of Atlin). It was approved by Order-in-Council #2708-1918, dated December 6, 1918, effective October 14, 1918. By the same order, the Hazelton Registry was closed and transferred to Smithers.
