Trans Canada video press kit and Vancouver Island highway project : update summer 2000

The item is a videocassette containing news footage from 1997 and an industrial video from 2000 which includes an update and overview of construction on the Vancouver Island Highway Project. The VIHP included highway and bridge construction and improvement from Victoria to Campbell River, and was scheduled for completion by 2002. Footage includes the opening of the Sable River Bridge, June 1998; the opening of the Mud Bay-Courtenay section by Premier Dan Miller, September 1999; and the management of environmental concerns such as stream protection and fish habitat creation.
