History
In 1998, the Revelstoke Forest District was renamed the Columbia Forest District. In 2003, the Golden Forest District was amalgamated into the Columbia Forest District. The Columbia District was initially part of the larger Nelson Forest Region, then the Southern Interior Forest Region from 2003 onwards.
In 2010, the Columbia Forest District, Kootenay Lake Forest District and Arrow Boundary Forest District were amalgamated to form the Selkirk Forest District, with its headquarters in Nelson and part of the larger Kootenay Boundary Forest Region.
