History

In 1964 the British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at Fort St. John, effective March 1, 1964. It was approved and ordered by Order-in-Council # 0336-1964, on February 7, 1964. By the same order, a registry of the County Court was established at Fort St. John for the County of Cariboo.

Currently (to March 31, 2016) the Fort St. John Registry of the Supreme Court continues as an active registry.
