History

In 1923 the British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at Kelowna, in the Yale Judicial District, effective May 1, 1923. It was approved and ordered by Order-in-Council 0408-1923, dated April 13, 1923.

By the same order, a County Court registry was also established at Kelowna.
