The item consists of three reels of promotional film.
Reel one: Captain Vancouver's monument, entrance to Vancouver harbour, the Lions, ship approaching, Siwash Rock, boathouse at harbour entrance, freighter passing, view of ships, piers and buildings. HMS "Hood" and HMS "Repulse" in the harbour. Pan over downtown section of Vancouver. Making hemp rope in factory. Woman making woolen products on loom. Huge herd of cattle on a flat prairie. Stockyards. Tank car unloading oil. Mattresses being made. Plants along the waterfront. Apple trees in the Okanagan; apples being picked, packed and stored. Cars on the Pacific Highway. Item consists of one bound volume measuring 30 x 79 cm. It contains 11 blueprints of varying dimensions and one map of the Fraser River and Burrard Inlet, as surveyed by Captn G.H. Richards and the officers of H.M.S. Plumper in 1859-1860. Each plan/map is numbered using white, paper labels adhered in the top right corner. Pages have been bound with the front cover at the back. Handwritten inscriptions repeat an abridged version of the title on the back cover. "Martin -J" is also written on front cover.

This series consists of printed records relating to the following court cases: the Attorney General of the Province of British Columbia versus Theodore Ludgate, and the Attorney General of the Dominion of Canada regarding ownership of Deadman's Island, Burrard Inlet.

Records include Attorney-General vs. Ludgate report by Robert Cassidy to the Attorney General for British Columbia on the appeal of the Dominion of Canada from the 1901 judgment of Martin, J. (Queen's Printer, 1904, 7 p.). The series also includes various exhibits and other records, such as exhibit 6, "Extracts from blue book containing papers relating to the affairs of British Columbia, 1859-1864" (pp. 307-307(81)); "Evidence before Full Court in addition to that taken at trial" and Exhibits V,W,X,Y (pp. 366-430); reasons for judgment of Chief Justice Gordon Hunter, Justice M.W. Lake Buntzen power plant : part I and part II

The item is an industrial film. It shows the construction of BC Electric's new Lake Buntzen power plant on Indian Arm around 1951. Footage includes demolition (by explosion) of part of the original plant, construction of cofferdam, penstock and tunnel; installation of turbines and generators, official opening with guests arriving on the launch "Hollyburn."
