The watercolour was owned by Anne Williams, a friend of Edith Forester, who was the artist's partner. After Williams' passing, Margaret Shugg donated it to the BC Archives

The item is a painting of a cedar waxwing bird done by Hilda Vincent Foster. The title is taken from the back of the painting. It was not written by the artist. It was possibly painted in the 1930s
