Biographical history

Appointed April 16, 1929; report dated September, 1929. Commissioner: Lindley Crease, K.C., of Victoria. Charges had been made by Provincial Constable P. Corrigan, of Kelowna, that members of the city police force, including the Chief of Police, Robert William Thomas, were lax in the performance of their duty, and of maladministration of the force. The Kelowna police made counter-charges against Provincial Constable Corrigan.

The commissioner, Lindley Crease K.C., was appointed to inquire into accusations made by Provincial Police Constable Paul Corrigan of Kelowna Police and into accusations by members of the Kelowna Police against Corrigan. Commission records consist of Letters Patent appointing the commissioner, transcripts of proceedings, exhibits, documents filed but not marked as exhibits and the report.
