Photographs acquired by Stuart McBurnie, carpenter foreman, during the construction of Government House in 1958. Donated to the BC Archives in 2014 by McBurnie's daughter Marlene Koppang.
Scope and content
The file consists of two b&w photographs taken in 1958 during the construction of Government House in Victoria, B.C. Government House is the official home of the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia. This building replaced the previous one on the same site that had burned down in 1956.
Minor tears, creases and curls from handling. The photo taken from the crane has been poorly processed.
