Series consists of executive files of Weldwood-Westply Limited president John Bene, vice-president Geoffrey H. Tullidge, and of unknown secretary/s. The records are in three sub-series: A. President's files, 1934-1970, predominant 1960-1965; B. Vice-President's files, 1960-1967, predominant 1966-1967; and, C. Secretary files, 1936-1970, predominant 1962-1969.
The President's files pertain mainly to company and division management and consist of correspondence with managers, branches and agencies, as well as reports, meeting records and topical files. The Vice-President's files pertain mainly to sales, expenditures, suppliers and marketing. Secretary files pertain mainly to pension plans, employee benefits, banking, donations and insurance.
The series is the first of eight series in the Weldwood-Westply Limited fonds. Original alphabetical arrangements of the President and Vice-President files have been retained. A chronological arrangement has been established for the Secretary files. Portions of sub-series A and C are missing.
