A card mounted print of one of Richard Maynard’s field photographs taken during his trip to the seal rookeries of the Pribilof Islands in the Bering Sea in 1892. Richard Maynard made several trips to Alaska for photographic purposes in 1879, 1882, 1887, and in 1892 to the Pribilof Islands where he documented sealing and seal rookeries

On the Pribyloff Islands, Bering Sea.” The creator of this inscription is unknown.

The card mounted photograph contains additional inscription on the verso of the print relating to the use of the print: “Thursday. Cut off top as [marked]. Reduce to 4 ¾ inch. 1822. Westminster. 6325 [Monroe Ave]. Photo [submitted] by Agnes Deans Cameron 1143 [Shudan] Road Chicago. The creator of this inscription is unknown, likely Agnes Deans Cameron.
