Father came to B.C. in the fall of 1920, family followed next spring. Changing of name. Inspiration to move to Terrace. Description of train trip to Terrace and arrival in Terrace. Mr. Kenney meets train. First friends, deFontaine. The first summer. Moving to Cote's farm where the present golf course is now (1977). Walking to town on errands. The Bissonet family and a wagon load of fish. Mr. Cote built house. Sighting of airplane. Forest fire on Terrace mountain. Sister a maid for the Olsons. Babysitting for the Fowlers. School days. Language difficulties. School pranks. Leaving school in order to work at home. Unable to afford the expense of school books. Washday and berry picking. TRACK 2: Play at home and at school.
