Frederick Bell was a physician who served in World War I. He was Superintendent of Vancouver General Hospital from 1923-1931 and of Shaughnessy Hospital from 1941-1949.

Frederick Charles Bell was the Superintendent of Vancouver General Hospital, 1923-1931, and of Shaughnessy Hospital, 1941-1949.

Diaries, correspondence, and personal papers documenting Dr. Bell's service in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps during World War I, his activities as a physician (he was Superintendent of Vancouver General Hospital, 1923-1931, and of Shaughnessy Hospital, 1941-1949) and his interests in Canadian history (particularly the history of the fur trade, exploration, and the Prairies), the Alpine Club of Canada, and Garibaldi Park.
