Pencilled comment on verso of photograph: Port Townsend 1900. In the past, this was identified as the home of Alfred A. Plummer. However, Jefferson County Historical Society states that their records indicate that this is the "Wakeman Reynolds Rental House" located at 1536 Washington Street, Port Townsend. This name is based on the usage and was probably not called that at the time when the photograph was taken. This house was built after Alfred A. Plummer had died (1883). The house in the photograph was built between sometime between 1893 and 1897 and was not attributed to any members of the Plummer family.
