Biographical history
The British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at Barkerville, in the Cariboo Judicial District, effective September 1, 1939. It was approved and ordered by Order-in-Council #0831-1939, dated 1939 June 21.

The series consists of the correspondence of H A Bryant, stipendiary magistrate for the Barkerville region. The records date from between 1939 and 1950 and includes correspondence and other material used in various cases. Files pertaining to cases consist of notes, correspondence, and court forms.
