William Lashley Hall was born in 1865. A Methodist minister, he served the community of Fernie at the time of the 1908 fire and later moved to White Rock, where he was involved with the Peace Arch. He was also an author who was chosen in 1915 to edit the diaries of Ebenezer Robson.
