Also includes shots of a portable crane loading steel onto a truck, and a railway car. Shots also of an old portable loader and a steam engine passing at speed. The item is a video copy of a promotional film of a comprehensive look at Vancouver's Pacific National Exhibition. Includes footage of PNE parade; Exhibition Park (general and aerial views); industrial exhibits; horse show; livestock and poultry exhibits; horticultural displays; home arts and fashion events; dog show; hobby show; the "gayway" rides and games; "Kiddieland"; Miss PNE competition; armed forces display (with CF-100 jet and Centurion tank); tree climbing competition; heavy machinery demonstration; B.C. Thie series consists of an extensive collection of stock shots, depicting a wide range of B.C. Forest Service and Ministry of Forests activities and related subjects. Compiled from footage shot for a variety of purposes, the material was retained for potential use as stock footage in BC Forest Service and Ministry of Forests film productions and TV spots. Some footage was also loaned out for TV news use.

Amateur film. Depicts various aspects of dam construction, including concrete work, heavy equipment, construction workers and camp, etc.; shots of the power station, turbines, penstocks and electrical grid; and scenes of the surrounding area.

Stock shots. First section shows crew planting bullet seedlings with planting guns and with dibbles, as well as some bare-root planting. The second section shows the clearing of land in the area to be flooded by the Mica Dam, using caterpillar tractors, Euclids, chain saws, etc. Tree are felled, piled, and the slash and debris are burned. Also includes views of the dam under construction, and of waterways and lakes in the area.

The item is a composite print of a promotional film from 1970. It shows an experimental project in clearing timber from a reservoir, using hydraulic shears and saws mounted on a shallow-draft barge.

The item is a training film from 1980. Uses live-action and animated sequences to demonstrate hand signals used to direct crane boom, line, combination and travel operations. Location footage shows railway cranes at work in a rail yard and hoisting a derailed locomotive.
