Jones of Shawville, Quebec came out to Blue River in 1923; he describes his employment with the Canadian National Railway until 1963; a description of Blue River as it was when he arrived; how he lived in a house that he built; the Huron Indians who taught him how to live in the outdoors; the town of Pembroke; more about Blue River and the people who lived and worked there; he offers several anecdotes about people and places; Little Chicago and the development of the railroad. TRACK 2: Mr. Jones continues with more descriptions of Blue River as it was when he arrived ;and the people there; train wrecks; the Overlanders; Hell's Gate.

Series consists of 545 photographs of the Canadian Pacific Railway (C.P.R.), thought to be taken by Richard or Hannah Maynard. In 1880-1881, Richard Maynard was hired to document the construction of the C.P.R. but photos within this series may have been taken at later dates or by other photographers. Images depict trains ("rolling stock"); views of locations along the construction route, including rivers, bridges, and mountains; tracks and construction in progress; wrecks following accidents; snowsheds; and portraits of workers.

The file consists of five reels of unedited film footage/out-takes. Contains footage of commercial salmon and halibut trolling; purse seining; gill netting; fish ladders (Hells Gate); cannery interiors; tagging salmon; salmon spawning; salmon eggs and fry in laboratory; Adams River salmon run; hatchery scenes.
