Scope and content
Hospital planning and construction records. Files of the planning and Construction Division, relating primarily to construction projects 1949-1964. Also includes a small set of planning files.
These files were created by the Hospital Construction and Planning Division. The division provides a consultative service to hospital boards planning new acute or extendedcare hospital facilities, diagnostic and treatment centres, and additions or alterations to these buildings. These files document the process by which this occurred and also progress of the various building projects, 19481976. Another, smaller, series within this one, is a box of files which show the activities of hospital planning groups for Victoria area, Vancouver Island, Metropolitan Vancouver and the Comox Valley District.
