The sub-series consists of documentary radio programs produced and hosted by Bill Herbert. In addition to a number of stand-alone documentaries on B.C. topics, the sub-series also includes all nine episodes "The Road To The Yukon", a CBC Special Events series that ran in the Pacific Region from February 10 to April 14, 1962. It featured Herbert's interviews with people who lived along the Alaska Highway, from Dawson Creek, B.C. to Dawson City, Yukon.

The series consists of miscellaneous audio recordings by Imbert Orchard, including interviews, actualities (i.e., live location sounds), production elements or sections of CBC documentaries and BC Archives sound programs, and a number of unidentified recordings.

The sub-series consists of episodes from the second series of "People in Landscape", a radio program about people and places in British Columbia history that aired from 1968 to 1972. It was based on oral history interviews by Imbert Orchard, who also wrote, produced and narrated the programs. The second series (1969-1970) included programs about various journeys around B.C. (broadcast October 3 to November 21, 1969); the history of, and present-day life in, the Bella Coola Valley (December 5, 1969 to January 9, 1970); and the Queen Charlotte Islands (January 16 to April 3, 1970).
