Train trip (by CPR to Qualicum from Parksville?); scenery; a fair with races, games, eating, etc. Royal visit: Victoria (Douglas and Yates); Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip [?]; good shots of street and buildings; the Empress Hotel in full decoration. 1958 May Day, dancers, parade.

Amateur film. Port Moody: train station; crowds dressed up, dignitaries on train, RCMP in red tunics, speeches. Street scenes: log houses, mud streets, wooden church; car being pulled out of the mud by horse and cart. Douglas Lodge: Douglas Lake, boat trip, swimming, Indians at the Lodge. RCMP Musical Ride (b&w and colour). Airport (Abbotsford?): airplanes, trick flying, parachuting. Parade (appears to be in Vancouver): floats, bands, etc.

Miscellaneous: big house and dogs (Victoria?); bridge of ship; sports fishing; punting. Skeena footage: Skeena River; fishing; Indian villages and totem poles; Premier Hotel; sailors; dignitary receiving a gun salute and being driven in a Rolls Royce to a house.
