1895 Bureau of Mines

The file is a photograph album, compiled between 1895 and 1898 by gluing photographs into a volume. It contains 138 photographs showing mines, mining equipment and workers as well as mining landscapes including towns and valleys. Most of the photographs have captions and other information but the album is not indexed. Each photograph has been given a variety of alpha-numeric codes. The "box number" written on a tab below each photo refers to the original box containing the related negatives.

1896 Bureau of Mines

The file is a photograph album, compiled around 1896-1897 by gluing photographs into a volume. It contains 160 photographs showing mines, mining equipment and workers as well as mining landscapes including towns and valleys. Most of the photographs have captions and other information but the album is not indexed. Each photograph has been given a variety of alpha-numeric codes. The main number, written to the right of each photograph, starts at number 167, directly following on from the previous album which ends at number 166. The "box number" written on a tab below each photo refers to the original box containing the related negatives.

The file is a photograph album, compiled in 1907 by gluing photographs into an album. It contains 174 photographs showing mines, mining equipment and workers as well as mining landscapes including towns and valleys. Many of the photographs document inspection trips undertaken by the Provincial Mineralogist. Most of the photographs have captions and other information. Many of the photographs have been glued together to form panoramic prints.

Each photograph has been numbered from 658 to 817a, with gaps, following directly on from the previous album. Photographs used in Dept. of Mines annual reports are indicated with the report date and page number.

The file is a photograph album, compiled from 1923 to 1925 by gluing photographs taken between 1920 and 1925 into a volume. It contains 400 photographs showing mines, mining equipment and workers as well as mineral displays, mining landscapes including towns and valleys. Most of the photographs have captions and other information.

Many of the photographs have been numbered, and these numbers may refer to the original negative number. Some of the photographs have been glued together to form panoramas. There are a number of photographs glued by a strip on top of others.
