AABC general files

The series consists of the general office files of the Archives Association of British Columbia (AABC) and its predecessor body the Association of British Columbia Archivists (ABCA). The records date from 1973 to 2000 and cover all aspects of AABC business including executive minutes and correspondence, financial records, grant applications, committee files, publications, copies of the newsletter and other material. Included in the series are 49 3.5 inch floppy disks that date from 1990 to 1999. Some material from these disks was printed out in 2012. The files have no particular arrangement scheme but are roughly in chronological order.

BCAC general files

The series consists of the general files of the British Columbia Archives Council from 1984 to 1992. The files are mostly arranged alphabetically by subject but later files did not always follow the classification scheme. The files cover all administrative and operational activities undertaken by the Council, including their main activity of adjudicating CCA grants for BC archival institutions. The functions of the BCAC were assumed by the Archives Association of British Columbia in 1990.

Education and Advisory Service Program records

The series consists of the records of the Education and Advisory Service (EAS) Program branch of the Archives Association of British Columbia (AABC), dating between 1993-2008. The records document the core functions of this service and consist primarily of monthly, quarterly, and year end reports, site visits, and course materials.
