Sam Maki: bootlegger anecdote; fishing with his father; getting a power boat in the '50s; everyone acquired drums; boats are still well looked after in Sointula. Vivian Maki: going out in a boat named Vivian; staying on boat in Rivers Inlet for a month to fish in the summer; school in the fall and winter; both girls and boys got to fish in the boats; all the kids had to go out, so there was no one to stay home and babysit.
