The purpose of these meetings was to improve techniques of the prevention and suppression of forest fires.

This series contains briefs submitted to Royal Commissions. It includes briefs on four main topics: the first is the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the use of Pesticides and Herbicides (1973). It includes photographs that have been pasted within. The second brief concerns the Royal Commission on Forest Resources (1975) specifically in regards to Pest Management: a neglected aspect of the Forest-Tenure Policy and Agreements by N.E. Alexander and J.H. Borden. The third is a brief submitted to the Royal Commission on Forest Resources in 1975, and lastly the series also contains a submission to the Royal Commission on the British Columbia Railway (1977). The last set of records also includes press clippings.

Includes fire fighters' manuals (5 volumes, 1918-1942) prepared by the Western Forestry and Conservation Association and a catalog of portable fire fighting pumpers (1939).
