Miscellaneous field photography

Sub-series consists of field photographs not yet associated with a specific trip or tour. Images may be attributed to either Richard or Hannah Maynard, who both travelled throughout their professional careers and personal lives. Locations have been identified when possible.

Northwest B.C. : Atlin, Stikine, Alice Arm, Portland Canal

The sub-series consists of oral history interviews about the history of British Columbia's northwestern regions, including four interviews about the Portland Canal region (Alice Arm and Anyox), 1910-1950s, and one about the Atlin-Wrangell area, 1895-1915.

Yukon

The sub-series consists of one oral history interview on the history of the Yukon Territory.

Scott of the Antarctic : [miscellaneous recordings]

The sub-series consists of interviews and other recordings related to Robert Falcon Scott's ill-fated 1910-1913 Antarctic expedition to the South Pole. It includes interviews with expedition members Tom Clissold and Sir Charles Wright, as well as with Charles R. Ford, who served on Scott's 1901-1904 Antarctic expedition. The "program master" and "show" items are likely recordings of the CBC radio documentary about Scott that was broadcast on the series "CBC Radio International" on March 23, 1962. The 30-minute program was researched by Peter Haworth and produced by John Edwards at CBC Vancouver. The voices of Tom Clissold, Charles R. Ford, and geologist Frank Debenham were heard in the program.

Upper Coast : Rivers Inlet to Grenville Channel

The sub-series consists of oral history interviews about the history of, and modern life in, the Bella Coola, Central Coast and Central Coast Islands regions, from ca. 1890 to the 1960s. The interviews focus on the areas of Anahim Lake, the Bella Coola Valley, Kimsquit, Lonesome Lake, and Rivers Inlet.

Crease family miscellaneous

The sub-series consists of miscellaneous Crease family material from 1745 to 1933 and besides various miscellanous family papers (boxes 21 to 23) includes Nathaniel Lindley correspondence and papers, Edward Smith correspondence and papers, Elizabeth Harriet Smith correspondence and papers (all in box 21); papers relating to Chief Justice Sir Matthew Baillie Begbie (in box 22) and the Victoria Bar Association tribute to Sir Henry Pering Pellew Crease (box 24).

Sarah Crease records

The sub-series consists of the records of Sarah Crease from 1806 to 1921 and includes correspondence, notes on family history and other papers.

Diaries

The sub-series consists of three diaries of Arthur Nonus Birch from 1862, 1863-1866 and 1902. It also contains the commonplace notebook of Henry William Birch ca. 1810-1850.

Maps

The sub-series consists of maps removed from MS-0055 and transferred to the map collection. They were given reference code CM/Z14 and then individually catalogued.

Henry Pering Pellew Crease records

The sub-series consists of the records of Henry Pering Pellew Crease from 1923 to 1905 and includes both private and official correspondence, legal papers, private papers, poetry and pamphlets.
