The item is a recreational film from 1975. It presents the Nicola Valley area of South Central British Columbia and shows wildlife, birds and flowers and features a pack trip through the picturesque cattle country.

Footage. Operations of Nicola Valley Sawmills Ltd. near Merritt, shot by Mr. De Wolf when he was mill manager. Shows logging trucks hauling huge logs, logs being dragged by tractors, loading of trucks, falling trees, etc.

The item consists of an industrial film made in 1968. It depicts mining activity in BC's Highland Valley by the Alwin Mining Company. Includes every step, from the planning and construction phase to domestic life of the miners. The item also includes a separate magnetic sound track and titles.

Robert M. Taylor interview

The item is an audio recording of an interview with Robert Taylor. He spent most of his life in Merritt, and in 1976 he compiled a history of the Nicola United Church ("Old Murray Church") for its 100th anniversary. He discusses at length the history of Merritt as a developing town, as well as the important people involved. Also included is his personal history as a teacher and lay minister in the Nicola Valley.
