- GR-4014
- Series
- 1960-1991
This series consists of personnel or human resources records created by the Personnel Office of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources and its predecessors from 1960-1991. Records include position history files, records of the Personnel Management Committee, collective agreements with several components of the BC Government Employee Union (BCGEU) and related records, reports, correspondence, policies, and organization charts. Many records summarize organizational change or relate to a process of overall government reorganization.
Position history files document functions and activities of positions in the ministry and contribute to an understanding of how the functions of the government were carried out and evolved over time. These files include correspondence, job advertisements, job descriptions and records related to position creation or reclassification. Files include executive positions, manager positions, and a sample of professional positions. This also includes positions involved in new and emerging programs, joint federal provincial initiatives, and those with high level of public interaction, such as mine safety, public information office and energy conservation. Early records may have been created by the Civil Service Commission.
The records are covered by the Administrative Records Classification System (ARCS).
