The fonds consists of a letter to his niece written in 1910, and Alfred Marler's photographs, including photographs taken at Alert Bay by W.M. Halliday (Indian agent).

The series consists of a record book volume created by the Police Court at Alert Bay between 1905 and 1910. The entries in the volume show the date, full description of the charge, and the sentence. Entries are handwritten by Walter Woollacott (Provincial Constable), George Ward de Beck (Indian Agent), William May Halliday (Indian Agent/Justice of the Peace) and Arthur William Corker (Justice of the Peace). During this period Alert Bay was part of the County of Vancouver for court purposes.
