The series consists of a diary (1907) and correspondence outward (1907) of Aird Flavelle to his parents in Ontario, describing his trip by train to British Columbia, his stay in Vancouver and trip with timber cruisers into Powell Lake; papers pertaining to various timber companies including the Rat Portage Timber Company; statements of accounts of Thurston-Flavelle Ltd., 1915-1949; account journals, ledger and minute book (1924-1938) of the directors of the Rat Portage Lumber Company. Photographs have been transferred to Visual Records.
