The item is a film reel of out-takes from ca. 1941-1945. Comprises out-footage from completed BC Government Travel Bureau films: "Kootenay East, Kootenay West", and possibly "Eggs Unlimited" and "The Fraser Valley". Includes autumn scenes; boats on lake; river, highway and rail line in Fraser Canyon; horseback riding; cattle ranching; hunting; river ferry; rodeo; Clinton; Agassiz; plaques at Fort Yale, Sapperton, and Fort Alexandria sites; egg grading and chicken farming; the Great Divide; swimming; scenery; recreational activities; cable ferry docking and unloading cars (Columbia River?); mining; the "Minto" docking and unloading.

The item is a reel of film out-takes, from 1941 to 1961. Out-footage from various BC Government Travel Bureau films, including "Vancouver Island" (the 1941-1942 version); Okanagan footage from "A Date with British Columbia" (1957-1958) and "Kootenay Lake Holiday" (1960-1961). The reel includes footage of: the Kelowna Regatta (including Lady of the Lake ceremony); camping and boating on Okanagan Lake; picnic site; Kootenay Lake boating; interior and exterior shots of the beached sternwheeler "Moyie"; Manning Park Nature House; Victoria street scenes etc.

The series consists of films and videotapes produced or acquired by the Ministry of Tourism government film unit (and its predecessor bodies) responsible for creating and distributing tourism and promotional films about British Columbia.
