Regiment Soccer Team (Seaforth Highlanders)

Photograph depicts the soccer team from the 231st Infantry Batallion (Seaforth Highlanders). The battalion badge can be seen on the glengarry of the officer who stands at the end of the back row. This Highland unit was raised in Vancouver, but trained one summer at the military camp in Sidney where this photo was likely taken by Trio.

Perhaps Crocker, who spent most of his time in the Victoria area, took this photo for his own personal interest. Seated in the front row are: Lieutenant Alexander Guild Neill, Hon. Officers Football Team

The white sweaters were emblematic of those belonging to the Gymnastics Staff, responsible for the physical training and wellbeing of military troops. The photographer has labeled this photograph as the Officers' football team, and considering the badge on the officer's glengarry, it appears this team is from the 231st Battalion (Seaforth Highlanders).
