Military portrait at Willows Camp

Photograph depicts two pictures taken on the same glass plate. The first one has been crossed out by masking tape by the photographer, likely due to it being to dark for printing. This includes the British pattern khaki Highland cut-away 'doublet' jacket with five buttons, khaki kilt apron with integral pocket (replaces the sporran in tradition Highland dress) and a Balmoral for headdress. Tartans were removed from kilts during the war as they were costly and difficult to supply.
