He spent most of his life in Merritt, and in 1976 he compiled a history of the Nicola United Church ("Old Murray Church") for its 100th anniversary. He discusses at length the history of Merritt as a developing town, as well as the important people involved. Also included is his personal history as a teacher and lay minister in the Nicola Valley.
