Contains information as to name of mill or mill owner, address, physical location, type, i.e.: portable, stationary, farmer, planer in connection with saw mill, or equipped with gang saws, capacity per shift in cubic meters (mbm before metrication) and projected expansion. Compiled twice a year until 1955, annually thereafter.

This series contains records relating to pre-emptions in the Cariboo, Lillooet, Lytton and Kootenay Districts recorded by various Gold Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Lands and Works. The records consist of correspondence, notices of claim, sketches and affidavits and pertains largely to records in the vicinities of Quesnel, Alexandria, Williams Lake, Lytton and Cache Creek. The series also includes a detailed account of town lot sales at Quesnellemouth held on 13 October 1863 as well as an application for wages due, correspondence on various land disputes, several water records, and proposed leases of government reserves.

These registers contain information such as the name and licence number, date, fee amount, some file references and clippings of gazette notices related mostly to the Cariboo district. Volume 1 covers the period 23 July 1907 to 12 June 1908 and contains a nominal list, an index to the Departmental Map, and the notation, "to be used in conjunction with the Timber Licence Register." Volume 2 covers the period 22 October 1907 to 27 April 1908.

This series contains the operational records of the Kamloops Forest District relating to range and timber management. Some records were inherited from Cariboo, Vernon and Southern Interior Forest Districts, and from the Canadian Forestry Service during its administration by the Railway Belt.
