Records include lookout man's diaries, 1972-1974, files concerning the closure of Mt. Prevost and Mt. The series also includes a literature review of the dwarf mistletoes by Job Kuijt, 1954 and an interim report on studies on the characteristics and ecology of the root system of second growth Douglas fir, by R.G. McMinn, 1954.

This project was established in 1981 to do research in preparation for the 75th anniversary of the Forest Service in 1987 and to facilitate transfer of archival records to the Provincial Archives. This series consists of papers and reports prepared, coordinated, or collected by the project. (5) Protection as conservation - Safeguarding B.C.'s forests from fire, 1874-1921, by John Parmenter.
This series contains records of the Research Division of the Forest Service. Records include a report (carbon copy) on regeneration surveys carried out in 1962 by M. Crown, Forester-in-Training on Vancouver Island and on the Sechelt Peninsula, illustrated with hand coloured whiteprint map and a study of the survival rate of trees planted in the Southern Interior, an in-service reforestation report by M.B. Clark.

Kenney, Minister of Lands and Forests, September 26, 1951. These recommendations were partially implemented by the Departmental reorganization of June 10, 1952.

This series contains briefs submitted to Royal Commissions. It includes briefs on four main topics: the first is the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the use of Pesticides and Herbicides (1973). It includes photographs that have been pasted within. The second brief concerns the Royal Commission on Forest Resources (1975) specifically in regards to Pest Management: a neglected aspect of the Forest-Tenure Policy and Agreements by N.E. Alexander and J.H. Borden. The third is a brief submitted to the Royal Commission on Forest Resources in 1975, and lastly the series also contains a submission to the Royal Commission on the British Columbia Railway (1977). The last set of records also includes press clippings.
