Men from the Chinese Labour Corps line both sides of the field which a group of Canadian Expeditionary Force Soldiers wave their hats at a small group of officers. It is possible that this image was taken the day Lieutenant-Governor Edward Gawler Prior visited the quarantine station to inspect the Corps and present awards to some of the soldiers stationed there, though this remains speculation.
