The records date from 1835 to approximately 1860 and consist of records relating to land holdings, a draft deed of donation, and copies of letters between Sir George Simpson and various members of the Ogden family, including Ogden's son-in-law, Archibald McKinlay. Much of the correspondence deals with the disbursement of Ogden's estate to his heirs. The draft deed of donation that is included in the file is most likely the one referred to in the letter housed in file E/A/Og2

The file is a photostat copy of a pre-printed British register of baptisms, used to record baptisms at Fort Vancouver, 1836-1838 and Fort Victoria, 1849-1859. The volume is 41 pages, pages 1-16 record baptisms at Fort Vancouver and pages 17-41 record baptisms at Fort Victoria.

The information collected in the register includes the date of baptism, the name of the child, parent's names, abode, quality, trade or profession and by whom the ceremony was performed.

The file consists of two four page dockets. The first is titled "Tariff for Chilcotin" and is dated November 1, 1836. It contains a tariff of trading prices for Chilcotin Post. The second docket consists of a list of invoices of Hudson Bay Company goods delivered to James McIntosh at Chilcotin Post, including trading goods, medicines, stationary and stores. This outfit inventory is dated November 2, 1836 and is signed by Alexander Fisher at Fort Alexandria.

File contains loose pages from a ledger book listing inventories of property and goods held by Hudson's Bay Company in the New Caledonia district. The lists also include unsaleable articles, country made articles, country produce, new stores, horse appointments, articles in use, stationary, medicines, provisions, and live stock. The first six pages pertain to March 1836 and the last two pages list articles in use for February 1837.

File contains three letters signed by Peter Skene Ogden addressed to A.C. Anderson (1837, 1839) and George Simpson (1838). Ogden writes from Stuarts Lake.

The transcript contains 63 numbered entries, and whether the marriage was authorized by banns or license.

The file consists of various papers relating to Horatio Nelson Calder. These include pieces of envelopes and letters, a promise to pay $885.55 to John McLoughlin, and a form detailing lands being granted to Calder signed at the Oregon Land Office in February 1873.

Calder married Nancy Budd, daughter of the Reverend Henry Budd. It is believed that one of Henry Budd's daughters, also called Nancy, married Michael Wren. Their son, Charles, married Elizabeth Ross, daughter of Charles and Isabella (Mainville) Ross.

The file consists of various documents relating to the creation and purpose of the Puget Sound Agricultural Company (PSAC) 1839-1852. The file includes an extract of Committee minutes re the PSAC, a list of shareholders, a letter to John McLoughlin from the directors regarding the formation of the company, miscellaneous correspondence and the memorandum of understanding or prospectus of the company.

The file consists of a copy of a copy of the will of Sarah (Hanson) Ogden and other related estate records. The document was written in the District of Three Rivers in Lower Canada (known today as Trois-Rivieres, Quebec).

The item is a transcript copy of an 18 page report in the form of a letter written by James Douglas on October 1, 1840 on board the HBC steam vessel "Beaver". It is addressed to John McLouglin, Chief Factor of Fort Vancouver.

The report details Douglas' activities from May to September 1840 in his visits to various HBC forts including Fort McLoughlin, Fort Simpson, Fort Stikine; and Sitka where he met and negotiated business with the Russian Governor. The report also outlines Douglas' interactions with Indigenous people, the establishment of Fort Taku (later Fort Durham) and fur trade activities.

The file consists a transcript copy of a letter from Thomas A. Farmham, dated January 4, 1840 at Oahu Sandwich Islands (Hawaii), to J.R. Poinsett, the Secretary of War in Washington. In it Farnham gives detailed information of the activities of the Hudson's Bay Company in Oregon Territory (present day Oregon and Washington). The letter is accompanied by a certificate issued by the Department of State on July 12, 1898, certifying that it is a true copy of a document from the files of the Department of State.

The file consists of one letter written by Jenny Etheniskiss to Horatio Nelson Calder, whom she addresses as "my dear brother." The letter was written at Oxford House on the 10 December 1840 and largely deals with personal business. Jenny signs the letter as "your affectionate sister, Jenny Etheniskiss, wife of Jem."
