The item consists of a video copy of footage from 1982. Shows aerial footage of various forest fires between Squamish and Whistler, in the Cariboo Region, the Peace River Region, Bulkley Valley, Vancouver Island, and along the BC/Alberta border. Commentary discusses characteristics of the individual fires, their causes, specific problems presented, etc.

Documentary. The importance of roads to a timber management program; the plotting and construction of road networks for forestry projects in the Gold River and Peace River pondage areas. The historical method of log transportation by waterway is also shown.

The item consists of 20 camera original, unedited films created by Georgiana Ball between about 1957 and 1970. Original films 1-11 and 12-20 were combined onto 2 film reels by the BC Archives upon acquisition.

The film are "home movies", primarily of ranching activities in the Stikine and Liard regions, particularly showing the communities of Telegraph Creek and Trutch. Other locations include Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Ocean Falls, Dawson Creek, Dease Lake, Stikine River, Mount Edziza and Banff, Alberta. Activities shown include Ball family Diamond B Ranch game guiding operations, ranching, haying, packing and various types of transportation including horseback, pack horses, river boats (incl. Judith Ann), cargo ships (incl. Northland Prince, Skeena Prince), bush planes (North Coast Airways) and helicopters.

The series consists of film and videos of government documentaries, television advertisements, and other promotional material from the period of 1980 to 1986. The Ministry of Government Services' Government Information Services (GIS) was the centralized government agency for producing audio-video programs for all ministries and JEM Productions was contracted by the GIS to shoot and edit various programs.

This series represents provincial government functions and events representing various regions of British Columbia, including the lower mainland, Peace River and Okanagan regions.

The records consist of 10 videos and 1 film comprising current government initiatives and accomplishments; coal mining and dam developments; BC Place and BC Transit development; a 1986 premier's address; and development of the Coquihalla highway.

The item is a film print from a National Film Board newsreel from 1962 on the Portage Mountain Dam. It includes a map of the Mackenzie/Peace River system, illustration of dam, aerial and ground level views of dam construction and general views of the surrounding area.

He later moved to Vancouver with his father, and completed his schooling there. Herbert logged on Vancouver Island for a time. and later moved to the Cariboo, where he made his home on a preemption in Forest Grove.

The file consists of reminiscences of life in the Peace River district by Marian Bratt, the operator of the Silver Sands fishing lodge, called "History at Silver Sands, 1952-1968" The file also includes ca. 140 photographs that show construction of lodge, activities at lodge, oil drilling, P. G. E. railway construction, highway construction, snow and winter scenes 1952-1962.
